A Lecture free Discussion of Practical Clinical Solutions for Pain Control

This educational event will assemble a panel of three orthopaedic trauma surgeons who are leaders in the orthopaedic response to the opiate crisis. Panelists will each offer practical, actionable steps that have worked in their practices to maximize pain control and minimize opiate use. The entire course will be discussion based, using the OTA Clinical Practice Guidelines as a guide for discussion.

After this event, the learner should be able to:
1) Identify the current state of the opiate crisis and the impetus for practice change
2) Identify several techniques to maximize pain control that they can add to their practice
3) Demonstrate familiarity with the OTA Clinical Practice Guidelines for Acute Musculoskeletal Learner Objectives
